What will I learn?

The Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering is offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Your course of study includes completion of computer programming, computer-based modeling, and electrical/computer engineering courses. You also conduct a research project with an electrical/computer engineering faculty member. This unique training prepares you for future engineering practice that requires engineers to master both electrical/computer engineering and computational methods. This master's program offers a research-based thesis option, and a course intensive, non-thesis option.

Electrical and computer engineers design technologies as diverse as robots, cell phones, GPS receivers, computers, digital music players, and medical devices. Electrical and computer engineering involve the study of both analog and digital systems. Electrical engineering is broader, whereas computer engineering has more focus on digital systems (computer hardware and software).
