What will I learn?

The Electrical Engineering program provides students with knowledge of basic and advanced topics in the areas of design and analysis of Electrical and Electronic systems such as VLSI and electronic circuits, microprocessor and embedded systems, communications and signal processing, robotics and control systems. Through this program, students develop an ability to apply design and analysis knowledge to the practice of electrical engineering in an effective and professional manner. This knowledge can be applied to various engineering practices in aerospace, computer, electrical, electronics and other applied fields. The Master of Science program in Electrical Engineering is intended to provide advanced knowledge and competency in the theory and practice of electrical engineering. The program prepares students to pursue a wide range of professional engineering activities in related areas.

Entry requirements

For international students

You are eligible to apply as a graduate student if you have earned a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.

You must meet the following requirements:

Above average class standing at an internationally accredited college or university: the equivalent of at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale is recommended.

In addition, to qualify for admission with conditionally classified standing, applicants must meet the following departmental requirements:

Applicants graduated with an undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science:

Minimum GPA of 2.5 for applicants graduated from domestic (U.S.) institutions.
Minimum GPA of 2.5 for applicants graduated from ABET-accredited international institutions.

TOEFL: 550 or 80 iBT

IELTS: 6.5

PTE: 58
