What will I learn?

The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNPR) is designed to prepare registered nurses through graduate education and clinical experience to deliver primary health care through an advanced scope of practice. The program reflects the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) core competencies and population focus competencies.

This program is also approved for delivery via asynchronous distance education technology, with some required visits to Bryan, TX for clinical skill training and evaluation of diagnostic reasoning. Upon completion of course requirements, graduates are eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Family Nurse Practitioner and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Exams.
