What will I learn?

The Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry program requires a minimum of 60 post-baccalaureate semester hours: 48 credits of course work–including four (4) credits of seminar, and 12 credits of dissertation research. All Ph.D. programs at the Duquesne University Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania are designed for students who have earned an undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, pharmacy, allied health sciences, the social and behavioral sciences or business.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants should have earned a baccalaureate degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, allied health sciences, or social/behavioral or business sciences, depending on the proposed field of study.

We require a TOEFL score of 80 and also IELTS score of 6.5.

Applications which are received prior to December 1, will be given primary consideration for the fall semester and applications which are received prior to October 1, will be given primary consideration for the spring semester.
