What will I learn?

Our applied mathematics course of study will prepare you for careers in business, industry, government or further study in mathematics. Applications from the sciences, industry and management are stressed in classical applied mathematics, operations research and statistics coursework. More traditional, pure mathematics plans of study are also available, providing a solid background in the foundations of advanced mathematics. Choose this path if your goal is a Ph.D. degree in mathematics or interested in secondary or community college teaching.

Entry requirements

For international students

Have a strong overall academic record and have passed, with a “B” or better average, the following undergraduate mathematics courses or their equivalent: a standard introductory calculus sequence including multivariate calculus, a course in linear algebra, and at least 15 additional credit hours of mathematics or statistics courses beyond the level of calculus.

Minimum Score Requirement – TOEFL: 79; IELTS: minimum of 6.5 for acceptance, 7.0 for TA consideration; Duolingo: minimum of 115.
