This specially designed program prepares healthcare professionals for the management side of the industry. The MBA/Health specialized degree will guide you through the intricacies of finance, accounting, strategic management, marketing, and information systems for the healthcare industry.

Business competencies are a must-have if you’re a professional in the healthcare industry, especially at hospitals, community health centers, and within large healthcare systems.

The Suffolk MBA/Health degree will give you a core understanding of the social, political, economic, and financial environments of the American healthcare system. The tools, concepts, and techniques of effective managerial decision-making, financial planning, and administrative control are pillars of the program.

Students Transferring to the Suffolk MBA

Six credits of elective courses, taken at the graduate level from an AACSB-accredited graduate program in business, may be transferred if the credits do not apply to a previously completed degree. Transfer credits must have an earned grade of "B" or better and be taken within five years prior to entering the Suffolk MBA programs. Transfer credits apply only to electives.

Students Who Leave Boston Before Their Degree is Complete

Occasionally, Suffolk MBA students must leave the Boston area having not yet completed their degree. The Business School has several options available to insure completion of the Suffolk MBA. You may be able to transfer in six credits of elective courses from an AACSB-accredited MBA close to your new place of residence. Courses must be pre-approved by Suffolk’s Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs and have a grade of B or better.

A student who leaves the area may also complete their Suffolk MBA portion of their degree online.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States, or an equivalent degree granted by an institution in another country (as determined by the Office of Graduate Admission).

For international students

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum TOEFL score of 80 in the iBT scoring system (with no sub score lower than 17) or 550 on the paper-based is required to be considered for full admission.

International English Language Testing System test (IELTS): A minimum score of 6.5 (with no sub score below 6.0) is required to be considered for full admission

PTE-Academic (Pearson Test of English): A minimum score of 65 is required to be considered for full admission.

Application Deadlines: Fall Semester: March 15 (priority), then rolling; Spring Semester: October 15 (priority), then rolling; Summer Semester: April 1 (priority), then rolling.
