The University of Cincinnati Master of Science in Business Analytics program provides you with expertise in descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics. The Lindner MS program in Business Analytics seeks full-time and part-time students with quantitative or technical backgrounds (mathematics, engineering, statistics, science, economics etc.) who are interested in pursuing careers in the fields of business analytics and data science. Work experience is not required to enter the program which can be completed in less than a year.

Note: The MS-Business Analytics program is recognized as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program.


More than 90% of graduates are employed within three months of graduation.

Students are hired by leading employers such as Amazon, Disney, U.S. Bank, IBM, Kroger, Macy’s, Morgan Stanley and Procter & Gamble.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

A baccalaureate degree from a college or university regarded as standard by a regional or general accrediting agency. At least a B average (3.0/4.0 system) in undergraduate course work. If the applicant has a lower GPA, they must either give evidence of promise that is judged satisfactory by the admitting program and the Graduate School or complete 12 credit hours of specified IT bridge courses with a 3.0 GPA prior to admission into the program.

For international students

Applicants must have an undergraduate bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution.

Three semesters, or four quarters, of college-level calculus through multivariate calculus. One course in linear algebra or matrix methods

A fundamental knowledge of computing, including facility in a procedural programming language like C, C++, Java, Matlab, Python, R, Ruby, SAS or Visual Basic.

TOEFL Minimum: 95 internet based

IELTS Minimum: 7.0
