What will I learn?

The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers graduate programs leading to the degrees of Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in mechanical engineering. The graduate programs are designed to provide considerable flexibility in the selection of course work and specialization. Independent research, a requirement for the PhD degree, is optional the MSME degree. MSME students may choose a research-based thesis track, or a coursework-based non-thesis track. The non-thesis MSME option may be more suitable for part-time students.
