What will I learn?

The prestigious Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing at Pittsburg State University is helping the nation meet this goal through its Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program; an advanced practice graduate nursing degree offering the highest level of preparation for nursing practice. The DNP program offers the major, Advanced Practice Nursing, with opportunity for specialization in the advanced practice role. Students are trained as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the BSN-DNP program. Advanced Practice Nurses who are educated at the MSN level may enter the MSN-DNP program.

An emphasis in nursing education will be an elective option for those who may one day want to teach in a School of Nursing or serve as a Nurse Educator in a health care facility.

Our MSN to DNP program is the perfect choice for advanced healthcare professionals with a career focus of leadership at the bedside and in the boardroom. Reach the pinnacle of the nursing profession: earn a DNP.

Pittsburg State University’s DNP program is designed to fit the hectic work and lifestyle of today’s healthcare professionals. Course work is available online, allowing students to work around their daily schedule.

At completion of the program, graduates will possess the terminal degree for nursing practice and will be prepared to function as expert clinicians, nurse leaders and/or clinical faculty.

The Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing is fully accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. Our faculty is among the most accomplished in the Midwest.
