What will I learn?

Post-master’s certificate programs build your clinical skills and knowledge and provide the opportunity for you to take on new challenges and redefine your career path. Completing the Nurse Education Post-Master’s Certificate will enable you to share your knowledge and experience with the next generation of nurses in academic and clinical practice settings, including colleges and universities, hospitals, community health agencies, and other practice settings.

Rivier offers post-master’s nursing certificates to RNs that have already earned an MSN degree.

The Nursing Education Certificate program requires a minimum of 16 credits. The average completion time for this program is three semesters.

Clinical specialty preparation will be reviewed as part of the application process and used by faculty in developing the individualized program of study. Applicants who do not have clinical work in their master’s program will be required to take additional coursework.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants must have Official transcript(s) from Undergraduate study. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is expected for acceptance into our graduate programs.

Our minimum acceptable scores for standard English tests are TOEFL (61), IELTS (5.5), PTE (43).

Application Deadlines: Fall semester - July 1.
