What will I learn?

Our MAT in Secondary Education is a one-year, full-time on-campus program, designed for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree and would like to teach at the high school level. The program offers teacher licensure in high school English, mathematics, science, and social studies. Housed within the state-of-the-art Watson College of Education Building, students develop and apply learned skills to be successful in today's globally competitive, diverse high school classrooms. With the use of research and technology, the MAT program prepares future teachers to create innovative and interactive learning environments to meet the needs of today's high school students.

Entry requirements

For international students

Bachelors degree, earned from a regionally accredited institution, completed before graduate study begins.
Official copies of transcripts of all college work (undergraduate and graduate). An undergraduate grade average of “B” or better is required.

Minimum Score Requirement – TOEFL: 79; IELTS: minimum of 6.5 for acceptance, 7.0 for TA consideration; Duolingo: minimum of 115.
