Sabah Institute of Art

Sabah Institute of Arts (SIA) is a private higher education institution (IPTS) offering accredited education and training courses in the fields of arts, design and music. There are currently five diploma programmes on offer at SIA, in music studies, interior design, fashion design, architecture and graphic design. All diplomas are three-year courses that prepare students to be proficient in both industry and theory training. There are also short courses on offer with smaller class sizes. SIA is fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). SIA’s tutors are practitioners and teach students what they have learnt themselves by making and designing. The institute has affiliations with various leading art and design institutions of higher learning not only in Malaysia, but also in the UK, USA, Australia and China.
