Academy New Zealand  (Academy NZ) offers hands-on practical learning experience to its students for them to take their next step in their career. Academy NZ has been training students since 1987 and its experience is what makes it successful.

Study Options

Academy New Zealand offers Diploma in Business and Pharmacy Technician Programme for the international students.

  • Pharmacy Technician

The course teaches the technical skills and imparts pharmaceutical knowledge to become a Pharmacy Technician, such as how to process prescriptions, advise clients, and handle products. Academy New Zealand is one of the only schools in New Zealand offering the Pharmacy Technician Level 5 programme. Its graduates are the most sought after.

  • Diploma in Business

The Level 6 Business Diploma will give students a thorough grounding in the practical skills they need to manage business projects to an excellent standard - a skill that is highly sought-after by employers around the world.

International students will be exposed to practical, real-world scenarios throughout their training so that when they graduate, they will be an effective leader with the skills needed to manage people and lead change within a business.

Facilities, Equipment and Staffing

  • Each campus has a common area for student use. At some campuses a cafeteria operates.
  • Computers are available at all sites.
  • Each campus has a Student Liaison Officer who is available to assist all students with questions relating to accommodation, work or study load or any other issue which could affect their progress at the Academy.
  • All the tutors have recent industry knowledge as well as teaching skills. Many campuses also have access to a Literacy and Numeracy specialist, and if they have any concerns they can contact the Campus Manager at the students’ campus.
  • The staff to student ratio averages 18 students per tutor.

Entry Criteria

Students of 18 years of age and have a full secondary school qualification must present evidence of the same during their enrolment. They must meet the English language requirement of a minimum of IELTS 6.0 which must be less than 2 years old.
