Overview

The Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki (WITT) or Te Kura Matatini o Taranaki, is part of Te Pūkenga – the New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology. As the local hub of learning, WITT Te Pūkenga caters to the needs of learners, both local and international, to play its part in addressing national skills shortages, and to provide key industries and local businesses with the skilled workforce that they need. WITT delivers degrees, diplomas, apprenticeships and short courses. Learners are based at WITT’s campuses in New Plymouth and Hāwera, or undertaking blended or online study either full time or alongside their career. Industry-experienced tutors provide learners with hands-on, practical education that encompasses work placements, industry projects and internships. Learners leave WITT Te Pūkenga as work-ready graduates, with industry-relevant qualifications and established networks and skills.
