Overview

Massey University is New Zealand’s defining university. It epitomises the creativity, innovation and connectedness that New Zealand is renowned for and has a long, proud tradition of teaching and research excellence.

Massey is home to more than 5,000 international students each year, delivers teaching programmes in seven other countries through Massey University Worldwide, and has international teaching partnerships with tertiary institutions in 15 countries.

Humanities & Social Sciences at Massey

At Massey’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences, students can choose from a broad range of fascinating topics. Study programmes focus on people: their beliefs and behaviour, languages and literature, education and well-being, and physical and social environments.

Students can study at one of three levels:

  • Undergraduate - bachelor degrees, conjoint bachelor degrees, certificates and diplomas
  • Graduate - certificates and diplomas
  • Postgraduate - certificates, diplomas, honours degrees, masters degrees and doctorates

Campuses

Students can study at one of three campuses - AucklandPalmerston North, Wellington - or anywhere in the world online by distance learning.

Accommodation

Massey University provides a safe and supportive living environment in which students can realise their academic potential. Whether they want to live on or off campus, fully or self-catered, it can help them find the right accommodation so students can enjoy their university experience. Its student accommodation gives students a sense of community in which students can make lifelong friends from New Zealand and around the world.

Massey cares about student health and wellbeing and provides 24-hour support. All of its on-campus accommodation has Residential Assistants living on-site whose role is to provide a supportive residential community. There is also a varied residential life programme that focuses on community wellbeing and academic support that runs throughout the year including beach trips, horse riding and lots of other fun and exciting activities.

Love it!

As a current (extramural) student, am enjoying every aspect this Uni is offering - from credible lecturers to fairness marking.  I'm studying full time and even though sometimes, as a distance student, we tend to feel unmotivated during the semester.... but, 'stream' can be quiet addictive to log into e read full review

To be conscious

My University has great environment and advanced facilities,and both teachers and students are friendly and willing to help others, so that i can make many friends here. For the advices, i think university is different between high school and primary school because none of students will be supervised ab read full review
