Other eligibility requirements

Eligibility & selection criteria: 

A full-time graduate student registered in the Master’s or Doctoral program in the Department of French Studies in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo who has demonstrated leadership and engagement within the francophone community (either within or outside of the Department of French Studies at the University of Waterloo).
Academic excellence (minimum cumulative average of 80% or equivalent).
Engagement in the University of Waterloo community that is not within the francophone community may be considered if it is combined with engagement in the francophone community off-campus.
The recipient will be selected annually in June by the Department of French Studies Graduate Studies Committee.
Students may only receive this award once during their graduate program and may not receive this award concurrently with the Graduate Studies Award of Excellence in French Studies or the Nantes Graduate Award.

Award description: 

An award valued at CAN $500 will be awarded to a student registered full time in a master’s or doctoral program in French Studies in the Faculty of Arts.
