Criteria

  • Student must be enrolled on a full-time basis (9 credits in 3 courses per term) at MacEwan University.
  • Student must be an intercollegiate qualified athlete on a Griffin Athletic Team.
  • Student must be in good standing and maintain a minimum sessional GPA of 2.0 in previous academic term.
  • Student must be nominated by their coach of the respective sport.

Disbursement Criteria

  • Must be enrolled full-time.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Must be an intercollegiate qualified athlete on a Griffin Athletic Team.

Selection basis

Students are shortlisted based on their

  • Sports excellence
  • Academic excellence

Selection criteria

Eligible students are nominated by their coach of the respective sport. Nominations must be approved by the Athletic Manager. Nominations are validated through the office responsible for student awards to ensure eligibility prior to awarding.

Recipients will be notified via e-mail. Committee selections are final, appeals will not be considered.

Typically given out in the Fall and Winter terms.
