The alumni discount is available for Cardiff University graduates who are planning to start an eligible master’s programme in 2026/27.
The discount provides a 20% reduction in tuition fees for home, international, and European students. If you are eligible, then the discount will be automatically applied when you start your studies.
Eligibility
The alumni discount is available to any Cardiff University graduate progressing to an eligible master’s programme who has completed a credit-bearing qualification, including one of the following:
To be eligible, you must be progressing to a higher-level qualification than the one you already hold.
You will need to hold an offer for entry to study at Cardiff University on one of the eligible courses, full-time or part-time.
Eligible courses
Only complete full-time and part-time postgraduate taught courses that lead to a master’s degree are included within the alumni discount scheme:
If you are studying your course part-time, you will receive the full discount in your first year of study.
You will be automatically considered for scholarship eligibility when you apply for the relevant course at this institution
There is no formal application process for the alumni discount scheme. We will assess whether you are eligible for the discount as part of your application to study a postgraduate taught course at Cardiff University. If you're eligible, then the appropriate tuition fee discount will be applied automatically once you have enrolled on your chosen course, and you will be notified. Note that your offer letter will show the full tuition fee amount.
