Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) is the University for the Common Good. Our mission is to make a positive difference in the communities we serve and this is at the heart of all we do, we are looking for applicants that have contributed to the common good to be an ambassador.

What is the scholarship?

Full tuition fee scholarship for 1 Year Masters programme commencing September 2026.

You must have an unconditional offer to study for a master's degree at GCU (Glasgow or London campus) commencing September 2026 and be able to detail how you will cover your living costs in line with UKVI visa regulations.

Scholarships will be awarded on an overall assessment of the merit and promise of the candidate, including their financial circumstances this is a highly competitive scholarship for limited places and no late applications will be accepted.

Selection criteria will be based upon the following answers when you apply:

  • Applicant has a strong academic profile
  • Preference will be given to applicants with an undergraduate degree qualification Uk equivalent of First Class Honours 70% and above or Upper Second-Class Honours: 60–70%

or

  • Applicants who have clearly demonstrated how they have contributed to the common good
  • Applicant has demonstrated financial need
  • Applicant has clearly outlined how the programme fits with their future ambitions and goals

  • Financial need/hardship
