The scholarship intends to provide a further £2,900 to a deserving student who will be studying in their first year at Middlesex University and who can meet the criteria, which includes being the first in their generation to attend University.

Professor Malcolm Sargeant worked incredibly hard at school, with little financial support, and was the first person in his family to go to university, and this changed his life and his future. As a legacy to him and his life, we, the Trustees, have set up this charity to help future students achieve their goals by helping with access to a university education.
Professor Malcolm Sargeant worked in higher education for over 20 years, and cared passionately about education, helping students achieve their academic ambition.
We provide funding for citizens and residents of England and Wales, looking to complete a university course at Middlesex University and who need financial help.
