Best years of your life!

My experience at Bishop's University is the best I didn't know I could have! Coming from the area of Montreal, I wasn't sure how I would fare in a smaller university. I appreciated the fact that there was support and services to help me, but I wasn't sure about the intimacy of the classrooms; I was wrong. Everyone is helpful and friendly: fellow students, professors, staff, etc. The atmosphere is communal and positive, making learning fun, and not a chore. On top of excelling academically, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved outside of class. Other clubs (athletics, social, local) and activities give students the chance to discover new passions and develop skills for themselves and the future. Everything about Bishop's is great: location, atmosphere, education... I wouldn't change it!

Amazing liberal education institution in a tight-knit community!

Bishop's supported my goals and dreams, as a student and person! The professors are engaging, the ability to mix and match programs is liberating and the experiential learning opportunities are endless. Bishop's University offers a personalized environment to expand your knowledge, gain new perspectives and develop your character. I loved my time here - I was able to get involved in Athletics, Student Government, Clubs and Research. I had the opportunity to travel to England and Malta on exchange, as well as Uganda and Madagascar to volunteer. I also came to know and love the beautiful Quebec region of the Eastern Townships, which has so much offer. So my advice to anyone looking studying at the undergraduate level would be to GO VISIT THE BISHOP'S CAMPUS - you might just love it too!

I wouldn't change my Bishop's experience one bit!

In high school I was always very involved in the school life. Member of the Volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball teams, a member of student council etc. I needed to come to a place like Bishop’s in order to have the opportunity to continue being involved. I was able to be involved in Cheerleading, Orientation week (leader and judge) Snowboarding, photography etc… Not only on a social level was Bishop’s perfect for me, but in terms of academics as well. I learn best with the personalized teaching approach. I have a very hard time teaching myself material from a text book. I thrive in small setting where I can interact and ask questions in order to fully understand concepts. If I would have attended a bigger university I am sure that I would not have succeeded. I fully took advantage of the fact that Bishop’s was able to provide me with the best of both worlds in terms of French and English, city and rural. Thanks to Bishop’s Liberal education model I was able to keep taking French classes to perfect my French while graduating with a well-rounded degree. I would not change my Bishop’s experience one bit.
