The College is great and the staff are amazingly helpful.

"I completed my A-levels course at the College with two A* grades and an A, which helped me qualify for the Open Scholarship in Leicester University. Whilst I was at the College in 2010, I was awarded a Silver Medal in the UK Maths Challenge, which I am proud of.

The College is great and the staff are amazingly helpful. The teachers are very enthusiastic as they try to encourage me to do my best. It was pretty easy to get along with other students as they are very friendly.

I would definitely recommend this college. Nottingham is a beautiful and international city where you can find almost everything you need and the expertise of the staff can be very beneficial for students, especially when they apply for universities.

I am now at Leicester University studying BA Economics, and when I finish studying I would like to work in an international bank such as HSBC. I will therefore try my best to improve myself even more during my years at university to achieve my goal."

I've already recommended the College to a friend!

"I came to the College to try to improve my English Language, as I need to achieve a certain level to complete a Masters Degree course in Chemistry. I hope to progress to the University of Nottingham, and after that I would like to go on to PhD study.

When I arrived here, my speaking and writing were not very good, but I now feel I can express my feelings in English a lot better. I practise with others on my course and in the College, which helps a lot.

The best part of the College is definitely its staff - everything about them is good, for example they are very helpful and they want to assist you.

I would recommend this college to others, because I started from a low level, and have now learned speaking and writing skills especially. The teaching methods at the beginning seemed simple, and I really benefited from that . Now they are more advanced and focused and that's good too.

I've already recommended the College to a friend!"

Perfect place for Engineering

"I prefer HNDs because they are practical as opposed to only being based on theory. In the last year I have gained practical skills for industry, such as using machines, and I hadn't had the opportunity to do this in my country.

Now I'm flexible to work in different industries, thanks to the skills I have learned in the workshops at college. I feel confident that I now have the necessary skills for a job or an internship.

I have made some really good friends from different countries while I have been at the college. Some of them helped me settle in when I first arrived, showing me around Nottingham, and I have also made a good friend from India on my course.

I would recommend this college to a person considering studying in the UK, because it's the perfect place for engineering. I think it's even better than university because it's a practical course.

The staff are really helpful, friendly, and supportive. There is no need to make an appointment if you have a question; you can approach them at any time - I've even asked while they were having lunch!

After finishing my studies, I hope to complete my Aircraft Maintenance Licence, so that I can work in the aeronautical engineering."

I would recommend the College to people thinking of studying in the UK

"I would recommend the College to people thinking of studying in the UK. lt's good because you get the opportunity to do practical and hands-on work, and I think that this will be very good for my future career.

"I think the classrooms are well-equipped, and I especially like the interactive whiteboards. There is a higher level of technology being used than I would have had access to at home, and I think the classes/workshops are more useful.

"I study in the Beeston area of Nottingham, and lots of students live there. It is quite small, so not too daunting for a new student, but it has a big supermarket and other shops. It is also convenient to get into Nottingham city centre to go shopping as there are lots of buses.

"As a Chinese student I was pleased to find lots of Chinese restaurants in the city, and that there are Chinese supermarkets so you can shop for ingredients from home.

"I have applied to Nottingham Trent University to convert my qualification to a degree in Operations Engineering after finishing my course, and then after that I plan to go home to China to work."

Meaningful time in my life at the college

I chose this course firstly because it is a one-year course and therefore it saved me time on my way to university.

It was a meaningful time in my life at the college, as I could make friends with many people from different nationalities and equip myself with valuable knowledge.

All of the teachers and staff members were very helpful indeed. They were willing to answer my questions and very enthusiastic about teaching their students. I think some of them are especially good teachers as I could understand the subjects easily and got very high scores in these subjects.

I am in fact going to study Economics instead of Business at university. However, this course has provided me with a general view of business studies, and very helpful knowledge related to my university subject, including Finance and Economics.

In my opinion, a good student should have a wide range of knowledge in every aspect of life/business, and so I think the Business Foundation course is extremely valuable, even if I might not take that specific course at university.

I have got an offer from City University London to study Economics.

My advice to a potential student is: to be successful, be a part of Central College Nottingham!

I enjoyed my time at Central College Nottingham

I want to study Pharmacy at university, and I chose this course because it is suitable to allow me to go on to study my chosen subject at degree level.

I enjoyed my time at Central College Nottingham very much - the teachers and staff were friendly, hard-working and helpful.

The Science Foundation improved my knowledge in Science subjects and also my English, so this has helped to prepare me for my university course.

I plan to study Pharmacy at The University of Nottingham and I have an offer from there.

One piece of advice I would give to someone thinking about this course is to take it! You won’t regret it.

After university I would like to do a PhD or else start working.

The teachers are very helpful and friendly.

I applied for this course because I wanted to achieve a place at a higher standard of university.

My time has been quite free and well-organised, so I’ve had enough time for play and enough time for study.

The teachers are very helpful and friendly.

I have offers to study Engineering at the University of Warwick and Civil Engineering at the University of Bristol.

If you want to go to university as soon as possible, and if you want to go to a higher standard of university, then I would recommend the course to you!

After university I plan to study a postgraduate degree and then look for a job.
