One of the advice I would give to new students is this : get to know as many people as you can. Go on networking events. Join clubs and societies. Volunteer. You will need them later on in life. Go meet new people, they won't bite I promise :)

I enjoy learning in NUS as I can make friends with a lot of people from different background. This experience benefits me a lot and I believe that it will be very useful in my future workplace as I must communicate with people. Overall the university strives to give a good campus and undergraduate experience to students. Facilities are well maintained and quite updated. However lecturers, especially in Engineering, tend to be more research-based and may not be the best orators. Freedom to choose courses outside of major allows students more freedom to get the exposure and education they want.

I would say NUS life is rather stressful but you will gain global exposure through overseas exchange programmes such as NUS Overseas College (NOC), Student Exchange Programme (SEP), Summer College, overseas internships, etc. Be involved in CCAs, take up leadership role and be prepared for busy school life!!
