HKIEd has given me valuable university life, international exposure and networks!
The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) offered me an admission and scholarship to study the Global and Environmental Studies. The professors and the staffs in HKIEd have been so warm and helpful for me that I think I have got a new great family away from my home. From the beginning of my first semester, the International Office (IO) of HKIEd has helped me adapt well to the new exotic environment. IO arranged a series of trips and activities to enjoy together with my fellow international students and local student buddies. It enhanced my knowledge and understanding on the local Hong Kong culture and diverse groups of people. Making new friends was a really effective way of adapting and enjoying the new environment. Besides, I enjoy the hall-life in HKIEd. The hall arranged many activities for the hall residents to participate so we know each other well. Studying in Hong Kong actually is a turning point of my life. It has given me valuable university life, international exposure and networks.

HKIEd is a wonderful platform for me in getting a high standard knowledge
The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) is a wonderful platform for me in getting a high standard knowledge, improving my personal skills and raising self-awareness of my talents, abilities and limitations. This is a place where I live and study with students from different social, cultural and religious backgrounds. Living in diverse society helps me to understand that even though students are so different from each other, they have a lot in common. Moreover, I am getting more experienced in achieving mutual respectand strengtheningrelationships with others. Besides, I profoundly appreciate all efforts that the Institute spends for student’s development by creating different social, educational and cultural activities that are by all means necessary in nurturing well-educated citizens who will establish better future of Hong Kong and the world.

Teachers and tutors were very friendly and patient at HKIEd!
I had a great time in The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd). Teachers and tutors were very friendly and patience. They were willing to help me whenever I encountered any academic problems especially when some classes are in Cantonese. They would explain the meanings to me patiently. Sometimes, my local friends would try their best to help me to translate those Cantonese words into Mandarin and English so that I could understand better. They also taught me to differentiate some common spoken Cantonese language words so I would not mess something up in my daily lives. Furthermore, my buddy, Audrey and other Malaysia seniors always gave me a helping hand to solve every single problem. I was glad that I had met so many kind people in HKIEd. As people said “be thankful for what you have because you have no idea how many people would love to have what you got”, honestly, I am glad that I get the chance to study abroad and meet some many local friends and other exchange students here at Hong Kong. It enabled me to expand my social circle and enrich my university life, meanwhile, it also actuated me to live independently and take good care of myself at Hong Kong.
