Best Uni

”University of Malaya is a good choice if you want to further your studies at the posgraduate level because it is the best university in Malaysia. My supervisor and the Institute of Graduate Studies are very supportive in helping me with my studies here and I have also received great help from the staff in dealing with the visa and accommodation issues.

International reputation for Research

I realize choosing an institution for higher studies abroad depends on two things. First, the institution ranking that reflects international acceptance. Second, the funding opportunities, for example a scholarship to support your studies at the postgraduate level. Of course it is not so easy to find funding for one’s studies in higher education in any part of the world. But fortunately I found both from the University of Malaya. Moreover, it’s reputation in research at the international level is another reason that attracts me to come and study at University of Malaya

PhD Life in UM

Studying in UM is not as easy as it is as the competition is very wide. There are many students in UM including both local and international. Especially for the international, the selection to enroll into UM is somehow selective. Many documents and processes including visa application need to be done prior of entering to UM. The climate in Malaysia is temperate and humid all year round. And in terms of food aspects, there are many food that you need to try as Malaysia is a multicultural country. There also also various options either to stay in the campus hostel or can try to look for accommodation outside from UM but advisable to get somewhere nearer within the campus side. Have fun and good luck in UM.
