Success in life is all a reflection of how a person enjoys his college life.

My experience here is great. Every student gets full rights and a lot of choices that he or she can make for themselves. Life is not hard but rather fun if you make take some effort in making it more exciting. Friends are always around you to make you feel like home.

UNI-a hidden gem in the Midwest

UNI is truly a hidden gem in the Midwest. For a school of 12,000 students, the student to faculty ratio of 19:1 is impressive. The faculty and instructors are committed to students' success. My professors all know me by my first name. Class sizes are small, and many are discussion-based. Almost all of the classes are taught by professors instead of graduate students, which is normally the case in large institutions. Most importantly, UNI is the place where anyone can feel at home. The resident halls are staffed by friendly and helpful resident assistants. International students have plenty of opportunities to interact with one another and American students. UNI is committed to promoting diversity on campus. There are wonderful events on campus for international students to promote their cultures and cuisine. I have made so many friends during my time here. Transitioning to college can be difficult, but at UNI, you will truly be at home.

An experience that will last a lifetime

It's a midsized university so it is easy and fast to adapt to. Every building are within 10 minutes walking distance so you can exercise as you walk to your classes. The professors here are very helpful and knowledgeable in their teaching.

Go Panthers!

I chose UNI because it's small but not too small - class sizes are manageable and professors really make an effort to teach. I can easily approach professors & lecturers, they are always willing to help and make sure I understand. I love the Cedar Falls area, people are so friendly and helpful in true Midwest fashion! When I'm not studying or in class I like to go to the WRC and spend time on the climbing wall.

myUNIverse, my Experience

To my fellow future student, the only advice I can give you if you are planning to study here is every experience you embrace at UNI opens up doors to newer and better opportunities in the future.

Proud to be a part of UNI!

The faculty and staff are really friendly and helpful. My admission and scholarship process was made very smooth by the admission department.
It's really easy to get in touch with your professors and advisors and they are really understanding and helpful in case you have any trouble in your academics. It makes the entire learning process so much easier.

UNI is an amazing place!

UNI has a very welcoming environment. My admission process was very smooth because the admission officer followed up with me every step of the way and made the process really simple. I blended in right away because there are so many opportunities to get involved.
