International students in the Netherlands joined Dutch students this week to accept scholarships and have a special breakfast with the Dutch Minister of Education. Minister Bussemaker joined the group of 40 students at Schiphol Airport for the event, which was organised by EP-Nuffic. The Netherlands currently offers the largest amount of English-taught courses in Europe, with more than 2,100 international study courses.
New educational opportunities for Dutch institutions in China have been outlined in an official delegation visit to Beijing last month. Signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese government, Dutch education minister Jet Bussemaker addressed national focus on educational and scientific cooperation and exchange between the two nations, as well as joining the Dutch delegation in conferences, workshops and project visits.
