City, University of London (City) has been educating students in London since 1894 with over 18,000 students from more than 160 countries and staff from over 75 countries.

Social Media Officer, Sabrina Francis, receives the British Empire Award Medal (BEM) for services to strengthening the community at City, University of London and for her work as a local Councillor.
The Queen’s New Year Honours lists recognises the achievements and service of extraordinary people across the United Kingdom.
The British Empire Award Medal (BEM) is intended to recognise those candidates who are actively engaging in work to build a bigger, stronger society. It is awarded for a ‘hands-on’ service to the local community that has made a significant difference in a relatively short duration.
Sabrina joined City, University of London as Social Media Officer in 2011, the first person to be appointed to the newly established role. While at City, she has successfully built strong online communities for students, staff and alumni.
High-quality teaching doesn’t stop at school. It is an integral part of what City, University of London does.
The University takes the responsibility of delivering high-quality teaching seriously and recognises that it is important to its students. This has become even more important to the sector with the introduction of the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), for which City has received a Silver award.

City has several successful partnership arrangements that offer preparatory courses for students seeking entry to undergraduate degrees. These courses offer guaranteed entry to a specific degree at City, provided that students achieve the grades required.
Its partner colleges and centres are close to City and offer foundation and preparatory courses. While studying these courses, students will have the benefit of full membership of City, University of London and access to a range of student services.
With over 60 undergraduate degree courses on offer across five specialist schools, City has a wide range of study options for students to choose from.
There are over 150 taught postgraduate degree courses across five specialist Schools, as well as a range of research degree programmes for students to pick from.
City has been involved in pioneering research for more than 100 years and continues to develop new areas of national and international importance. In the past few years, City has grown substantially in a number of key research areas.
City currently has 250 students from India studying its undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
International qualifications such as A level and IB are accepted for direct entry, and details of grade requirements for these qualifications can be found on individual course pages.
Entry requirements will vary course by course. Applicants with a good bachelors degree from a recognised university will be considered for most postgraduate courses.
Students who don’t meet the requirements for direct entry may have the option to undertake the graduate diploma programme at INTO City, which then offers the opportunity for guaranteed entry into City’s masters programmes.
English requirements can vary; students must check under each course page. Applicants holding offers conditional of English may be eligible for pre-sessional English prior to the start of their course.
