About Hartpury

Every aspect of the University Centre Hartpury’s specialist 360-hectare campus is designed to equip students – gaining record numbers of Higher Education students in 2017 - with the skills, knowledge and experience they need to open the door to their dream career.

The University, which has been awarded Gold in Teaching Excellence Framework 2017, received 87% student satisfaction in National Student Survey in 2016, up 9% since 2010-11. It also offers exceptional facilities and teaching within a research-active community,

Course areas

The courses are developed with support from employers, ensuring that when they graduate they will have the skills and qualifications that they want. From the University’s science and performance laboratories to the extensive animal collection, Rider Performance and Equine Therapy centres, a fully working farm and exceptional sports facilities, students have so many opportunities to get hands on and build a portfolio of ‘real world’ practical experience.

World-class facilities

The University helps students to take what they learn in the classroom and put it into practice using the world-class facilities on its specialist campus and the industry partnerships locally and further afield.

Course qualifications

Hartpury University Centre offers Foundation and Honours degrees and postgraduate study in the specialist areas of Equine, Sport, Animal and Agriculture. There’s also a wide range of additional courses and training that students can undertake alongside their degree to boost their CV and further explore the areas they are interested in. They also benefit from the small class sizes, which means the University can take a personal approach to the students’ learning and tailor it to suit their needs.

Graduate outcomes

97% (DLHE 2013-2016 average over the past three years) of the University’s graduates move into work or further study within six months. The Quality Assurance Agency in 2015 report (QAA 2015) highlighted seven areas of the University’s best practices, including employability and career prospects.
