I studied with this orgaisation for three years before deciding to leave to another university because l felt their service was not good enough. The fees are reasonable but l would rather pay a bit more money and get better support and quality tuition. A couple of the tutors l had were lovely but many of them do not respond within the recommended time frame (supposedly 48 hours) with some needing constant reminders requesting feedback on submitted work. I have experienced a couple of tutors who took over a week to respond to my questions which is not acceptable. I found the experience extremely stressful and at times, fruitless. Sufficient guidance was, overall not given to students (this was the general consensus of opinion) by tutors so that they can improve their grades. It feels as though many of the tutors don't care about their students' progress, and, as for being part of the university of hertfordshire- this is not the feeling you get on this course. The university of hertfordshire may as well be the univeristy of beijing it is so far removed from students with IDI. On the rare occassion l have contacted the university of hertfordshire l have had no support at all from them. If you can afford it, l would recommend studying elsewhere because the reviews l have read and people l have spoken to give a lot more positive responses to their organisations than the reviews l have seen for IDI. For my own and other students' experience l know, with hindsight that is what l would have done. Incidentally l studied my final degree year with the OU and the service was completely difefrent: A massive improvement. With IDI l felt exptremely isolated and had no support at all: You are basically left to your own devices to tutor yourself most of the time. Tutors with OU are of a totally different calibre. show less

Interactive Design Institute has been the best university/institute that I have ever applied to. Living in South Africa I am very limited to tertiary study and when I found that I could get a degree/ honors with an online university based overseas I was thrilled. I would recommend IDI to anyone who may have trouble getting to a university that may be far away or if you are working, because with IDI you can do all this from your own home and an internet connection. show less
