Overview

On the 1st August 2008 Huddersfield College merged with Dewsbury College to become Kirklees College. We now have over 22,000 students study both full-time and part-time courses at Kirklees College and we employ some 1,800 members of staff to teach and support these students. A large number of international students study at our College each year and over the last five years students have travelled from 84 different countries. International and European students form an important part of our college community. The nearby towns of Huddersfield and Dewsbury are lively and multicultural centres and offer excellent leisure and cultural facilities to all. Both towns are situated in the Borough of Kirklees which is home to over 40,000 people. The cost of living in Kirklees is also low, making it a popular location for many students.Kirklees is surrounded by the major cities of Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield, and London is only 2.5 hours away by train..
