As well as providing the best possible education in the lecture theatre, London Met will gives students plenty of opportunities to enhance their job prospects outside of the classroom too. Accelerator is the university’s business incubator and helps students who are interested in starting up their own business at or after university. Based off-campus in the heart of London’s Tech City in Shoreditch, Accelerator is a thriving entrepreneurial community and is home to 30 innovative early-stage start-ups. London Met has also started actively supporting the #ThinkModern campaign, launched in May 2019 to highlight the enormous contribution modern universities make to the UK. This campaign urges the UK government to consider that impact in future policy to help the UK continue to grow and thrive.
An exclusive partnership signed with Palo-Alto Networks will see London Met become their only Regional Cybersecurity Academy in the UK. As a result, London Met will train and support 100 other universities and nearly 400 schools and colleges, offering hands-on training to develop and enhance knowledge of cybersecurity.
The partnership with the global company highlights London Met’s expertise and stunning reputation in the field of cybersecurity, one of many modern subjects in which it excels.

In order to gain entry to London Met courses, students will need to meet the minimum academic entry requirements. To study at London Met students need to be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. The entry requirements may vary depending on the course, with some courses requiring portfolios. Students are encouraged to check the specific requirements of the course they wish to study.
London Met offers Pre-sessional Academic English course that can help students prepare for entry to the university’s undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses. It’s ideal for students who have a level of English below the requirements for their chosen degree or want to feel a bit more confident before starting their studies.
The International Foundation Programme is a one-year foundation course design to prepare international students for UK undergraduate courses. The programme includes a number of subject pathway choices and has specific academic and English language entry requirements.
London Met’s two campuses are at the heart of one of the world’s most exciting cities and can currently be found in Islington and Aldgate. Each campus includes a student hub for students to access advice and guidance in a convenient location. There are impressive, subject-specific facilities giving students on numerous courses a competitive edge. These include a GBP 30 million Science Centre, a mock courtroom, a cutting-edge newsroom, specialist art, architecture and design studios and workshops, and a purpose-built TV studio.
For financial and business students, London Met is one of the few universities to have direct use of Bloomberg data and analytics via its Bloomberg Room. Technical resources such as some of the most advanced Cisco Labs in London are available to students as well as inspirational studio spaces and workshops at the School of Art, Architecture and Design. These facilities have helped students to innovate and create and propelled graduates to win prestigious prizes such as RIBA President’s Medals and the Turner Prize and plus.
