Overview

The Pathway programmes at Northumbria are specifically designed to support International students in developing their academic and English language skills ready for undergraduate and postgraduate study at Northumbria University.

With different subject area specialisms to choose from, each Pathway programme introduces International students to UK academic, and university, culture. Students are taught by staff who are used to supporting International students through this important transition.

From the first day of the course, students will become a member of the Northumbria University family and will join the Northumbria alumni network of over 186,000 people in 167 countries.

Students will be based at the main campus of Northumbria University, in central Newcastle. All pathway courses are taught in the same location as many undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, helping students to fully integrate with students from other courses and feel part of the university. You will also be able to benefit from all of the university facilities and services available on campus, from the Students’ Union and refurbished Sports Centre, to the Library with its 24/7 opening hours during peak periods, and more!

Northumbria University Pathway Programmes are run in partnership with QA Higher Education – a UK higher education provider. All of these programmes are validated by the university and taught by QA Higher Education and university staff.
