The Stranmillis University College, a part of Queen’s University, Belfast, was established in 1922 to provide state-funded teacher education in Northern Ireland. The College offers teacher education at pre-service and in-service levels. The programs include full-time BEd and MEd degrees, BA in Early Childhood Studies, BSc in Health and Leisure Studies, part-time MA (Arts in the Community), part-time Master of Teaching degree, part-time MA (Early Childhood Studies), among others. The College also offers an innovative Certificate in Working with Schools and the Community.
