Ulster University has a new GBP 250 million campus in Belfast city centre, one of the largest higher education builds in Europe. Facilities at this campus will provide a progressive learning, teaching and research environment with the best technology.
The vibrant campus, popular for art, hosts frequent fashion shows and art exhibitions making it an exciting place to study and work. The university also offers brand new, high-quality accommodation in the city centre beside the new campus.
New teaching facility
Ulster University recently opened a new GBP 11 million teaching block at its Magee campus. The development represents a major investment by the university in a world-class teaching space.
The facility has state-of-the-art facilities and impressive teaching spaces. The four-storey facility, spanning 4,000 square metres, includes three lecture theatres, 20 teaching rooms, student hubs and a cafe.
New courses
Ulster University will be offering the following new master’s programmes from January 2020:
- MSc Data Science with Applied Research
- MBA with Advanced Practice
- MSc Marketing with Advanced Practice
- MSc International Business with Advanced Practice
- MSc Management with Advanced Practice
Strategic partnership
Ulster University recently announced that the Chinese Ministry of Education has granted approval for the establishment of the Ulster College at Shaanxi University of Science and Technology (SUST) in Shaanxi Province.
The courses to be delivered at SUST centre around Mechanical Engineering, Technology with Design, and Computer Science. Students from Ulster College will be able to study at Ulster for either one or two years of their programme, adding to the diversity of the student population. It is anticipated that there will also be opportunities for Ulster students to spend time studying at SUST.
