University College Birmingham (UCB) is the place for all kinds of ambitious individuals to prepare for successful careers. International students make up around 25 percent of the student population. More than 900 undergraduates at UCB originate from 65 different countries across Europe, the Far East, the Middle East, Africa and America.
Following the opening of a new campus, Moss House, in 2020 as part of a £130 million investment, University College Birmingham now has four campuses in the heart of Birmingham, one of the largest and liveliest cities in the UK and less than two hours from London.
The majority of UCB’s courses are vocational and accredited by the esteemed University of Birmingham (2021) and the University of Warwick (2022), meaning that students will be developed into competent professionals with qualifications that will help them stand out as graduates. Teaching is interactive and personalised, and directly linked to the courses within its portfolio.
UCB specialises in the areas of hospitality management, culinary arts, tourism, business, computing, marketing, accounting and finance, nursing, physiotherapy, education and more.
To help students maximise their prospects, the university has a specialist team of Employability Tutors based in hired@UCB to provide students with work placements and careers advice and assistance.
In 2020, the new Moss House campus is opening in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. It is part of a GBP 130 million capital expansion of University College Birmingham.
