Overview

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) was created in 1992 but its roots go way back to 1828. The university has nearly 40,000 students, from more than 100 countries, and offers close to 500 undergraduate courses and 180 postgraduate courses. The university’s Preston Campus currently has four faculties and 33 departments. The campus has gotten a world-class makeover with stunning new buildings and facilities, such as the Student Centre and University Square, all of which serve to enhance the living and learning experience for students. UCLan is ranked in the top 7 per cent of universities worldwide by the Centre for World University Rankings 2021-22, and 95.5 per cent of its graduates enter employment or further study within six months of graduating. UCLan’s research teams collaborate with major international organisations, like the United Nations and NASA.
