The University of Huddersfield is made up of a group of seven schools, which span a range of different subjects. These are:
School of Applied Sciences:
Three departments offer numerous subjects in scientific fields such as biological, chemical and geographical sciences as well as pharmacy.
School of Art, Design and Architecture:
Three separate departments cover architecture and 3D design, art and communication plus fashion and textiles.
The Business School:
Four departments make up the Business School, including the Law School. The other schools focus on accountancy, finance and economics, logistics, operations, hospitality, marketing and management.
School of Computing and Engineering:
Two departments specialise in engineering and technology and computer science.
School of Education and Professional Development:
This school includes two departments for initial teacher education and education and community studies.
School of Human and Health Sciences:
There are four departments in this school, specialising in psychology, nursing and midwifery, behavioural and social sciences and allied health professions, sport and exercise.
School of Music, Humanities and Media:
The three departments in this school are music and drama, media; journalism and film and English, linguistics and history.
