UWL has a number of scholarships and bursaries available to EU and international students. These include department and course awards.
Up to 100 awards are on offer for eligible international students. They are worth up to GBP 5,000 and go towards the first year of tuition fees. Students must have an offer to study a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme.
Students with the award will be international ambassadors. They help international students looking to study at UWL through open days, interviews and other activities.
Students who have completed an undergraduate degree at UWL may be eligible for a bursary when studying for a second degree at UWL. These are worth GBP 2,500.
Students who have completed an undergraduate degree at UWL may be eligible for a scholarship for a second degree course. These are worth GBP 5,000.
There are country-specific criteria for entry to UWL. If students have a qualification higher than A Level (or equivalent), they may enter directly to Year 2 or Year 3 of an undergraduate degree course.
Non-native English speakers and those whose previous studies weren’t entirely in English must meet UWL’s language requirements. Students usually need a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 in listening, reading, speaking and writing. Tests have to be from an approved UKWI test centre.
Because of Covid-19, UWL accepts the following language tests from non-EU international students in 2022. They will need the relevant overall scores:
International students who don’t meet the language requirements can take a pre-sessional English language programme. This takes place at UWL before the start of the academic course.
