California State University, Monterey Bay is a public university in the California State University system. Situated between the Salinas Valley and Monterey Bay, 4 colleges—College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, College of Professional Studies, College of Science, Media Arts and Technology and College of University Studies and Programs—oversee the university's academic operations. Each college includes several academic units that deliver degrees, minors, and other academic offerings. Apart from offering undergraduate and graduate programs the university also offers several teacher certification options.
