Based in metropolitan New Britain, Connecticut, students can reach the state capital, Hartford, in just 15 minutes. New York City and Boston are both around two hours away. Connecticut also offers a range of exciting things to do, from treetop zip lining to seafood dining.

SA/LD organizes a range of useful opportunities which allow individuals develop through training, mentorship and participation in co-curricular activities. This is done through:
CCSD provides a professional program with SA/LD where students can undertake a two-year internship and train to be a valued member in the field of Student Affairs. It is a collaborative internship with staff, and helps students towards senior administration roles.
CCSU has developed a comprehensive operational and strategic plan for the management of the Covid-19 pandemic. The safety of students and the university community remains paramount, and with this in mind significant safety, as well as technological upgrades, have taken place at the university. This includes in classrooms, on campus and online.
Autumn 2020 classes are set to be delivered using a blended learning approach, involving online learning and a traditional classroom learning environment. Classrooms will be designed to accommodate a limited number of students and all safety procedures will be adhered to, including social distancing.
Students also have the option of taking all classes online, with both live and prerecorded formats available. Registration for online and in-person classes are open, with priority for face-to-face tuition being given to international and residential students. Central Connecticut State University offers a varied and dynamic learning experience where passionate faculty are dedicated to supporting students. With a 15:1 student-to-faculty ratio, faculty is well-regarded for the close student-professor relationships which create collaborative and hands-on learning environments.
CCSU’s full-time faculty is made up of 400 staff members, where over 75 percent have a doctorate qualification. Academics have gained Ph.D awards at institutions including Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Michigan, Brown, and many more top universities.

There are four undergraduate academic schools at Central Connecticut State University, each of which provide a unique and exciting array of degree programs.
Students can gain a bachelor of arts, bachelor of science or a bachelor of fine arts degree. Programs offer a wide liberal education, and prepare students for a range of careers such as teaching, law or medicine.
Working towards a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration, students will be able to gain a qualification which is recognized by industry stakeholders. A thorough and broad education is provided for those eager to make a difference in business and society.
Preparing students to excel when leading and serving in the community, graduates go on to many roles including teachers, administrators, social workers, fitness instructors, counselors, and much more.
Covering a wide spectrum of engineering, technological and scientific areas, students will be well-equipped with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills for success in challenging roles such as in management, research or biomedical.
Applications to Central Connecticut State University are competitive, so international students need to meet a number of entry requirements for successful admission. This is alongside any specific requirements needed for each degree program.

International students will feel at home with the accommodation on offer at Central Connecticut State University. There are nine halls of residence options, which are a short walk away from academic buildings, food halls, and on-campus social facilities. Accommodation is equipped with WiFi, TV, fitness spaces, games areas and study lounges.
With over 750,000 books, more than 3,000 periodicals, and at least 550,000 electronic and other resources, the Elihu Burritt Library is packed full with the support students need when studying. There are personal and group study areas in the library, and it is open more than 112 hours each week during term time.
CCSU’s Student Center provides all the necessary services and facilities for students to enjoy their time at university. There are meeting, dining and programming spaces, and the Center is home to the Student Government, Women’s Center, Student Activities/Leadership Development Office (SA/LD), and much more.
More than USD 3 million is awarded by Central Connecticut State University each year in scholarships to help students financially. Most are awarded for academic excellence, community service and campus engagement.
Based on merit, selected newly admitted first-year and transfer students are able to receive an award to assist with the payment of tuition fees. Students are automatically considered for the scholarship when admitted to the university, so no application is required.
Students can apply for the competitive merit-based award when they have already begun their studies at CCSU. This awards academic excellence, and can assist students with their tuition costs. The university emails students when the application process begins.
