Founded in 1890 as a college of elocution, Columbia was granted full accreditation as an undergraduate liberal arts school in 1974. The school is located in the South Loop of Chicago. Columbia College is made up of 3 schools that offer both undergraduate and graduate education: the School of Media Arts, the School of Fine & Performing Arts, and the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences. The college offers 21 graduate programs and a choice of several of majors for the under graduate students.
