Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Founded more than 130 years ago, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) has served the citizens of the state of Florida and the USA through preeminent educational programs that have spawned a legacy of academic excellence combined with caring. A public, historically Black university located in Tallahassee, Florida, FAMU is committed to meeting the challenges and needs of future generations and to providing access to a high-quality, affordable education. A part of the State University System of Florida, FAMU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. FAMU has several satellite campuses across the state of Florida, such as the College of Law in Orlando and the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health, which operates out of four sites, in Crestview, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Miami.
