The college’s campus remains open but is closed to members of the general public. Access to the campus by students or staff is only permitted for the purpose of partaking in an approved activity or a course that includes mandatory practical or hands-on elements. Scholarships are available to both new and existing international students who demonstrate commitment, motivation and achievement, whether in the classroom or with extracurricular activities.
Applicants must be a full-time F-1 international student on Lane's I-20. The award can range from USD 500 to USD 3,500. The scholarship is awarded competitively according to achievements. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate the completion of a minimum of 25 hours of community service. Once arriving at Lane, students can easily reach their 25 hours of volunteer community service by joining the organized activities with other students and have fun serving. The scholarship will be applied to the tuition fees of the recipients after their enrolment and is applied across three terms of study.
Lane Community College is proud to accept students from across the world every year and enable them to achieve their educational aspirations. Applicants to the college must be at least 17 years of age. Students who are accepted and enrolled at Lane Community College will be supported by the International Programs office in maintaining their F-1 visa status throughout the duration of their studies.

Lane’s location in the same city as University of Oregon also gives students the opportunities for Dual Enrollment where Lane students can also take courses at University of Oregon for a discounted tuition rate.
