About Lane

Nestled in the Willamette Valley, between the Cascade Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Lane Community College serves more than 9,000 students per year.

Home to more than 228,000 people, the Eugene/Springfield area is the second largest population center in the state, and Lane serves a 4,600 square mile area, an area larger than the states of Delaware and Rhode Island combined.

Lane Community College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).

Lane offers more than 50 academic programs including ESL.  The most popular programs include business, engineering, IT/computer science, aviation and more. It has small classes and nationally recognized professors. Its campus and community make for a safe study environment.

After completing a two-year associate’s degree at Lane, students can easily transfer to over 90 top universities in the USA, France, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Canada.  Lane has developed partnerships with global universities that enable students to complete a 2 + 1 program resulting in a bachelor’s degree after 3 years. Students save time and more than USD60,000 by taking their first two years at Lane.

Lane provides more than one million dollars in scholarships every year. New international students are eligible to apply for scholarships up to USD3,500.

More than 800 employers provide internships to Lane students each year. Students earn credit while working full-time or part-time in positions related to their careers and academic goals. With one of the largest internship programs in the U.S., Lane is a national leader in providing work experience for students.
