Established in 1964 as Nova University of Advanced Technology, Nova Southeastern University is a graduate research institution that offers courses in the physical and social sciences. Originally based in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Nove Southeastern University is currently located at the former site of Forman Field in Davie, a World War II auxiliary airfield that had been returned to the community to be used for educational purposes. Over the years, the university has added programs in business, education, law, psychology, engineering, oceanography and computing and has received national recognition for innovative distance education programs. Today, the university is classified as a research university with “high research activity” by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and is one of only 50 universities to be awarded Carnegie’s Community Engagement Classification.

I found this overall be a great school. At times it was difficult to balance school work with sport, but in the end it was worth it. The professors are genuinely interested in how you are doing in their classrooms and are very accommodating if you need extra help with a subject topic.
