A range of scholarships are available for international students who meet the university’s entry requirements. These are awarded to students when they are accepted to study at RMU. All international students whose first language is not English will need a minimum English language proficiency level to succeed at RMU. They must demonstrate this through achieving a required English language test score. These are:

Those who cannot meet the minimum requirements can gain conditional admission. This could be through taking a program at the University of Pittsburgh’s English Language Institute (ELI) or with the ELS Language Center. Students who complete a certain level may have the language requirements at RMU waived.

Classes are small in size – 58 percent have less than 20 students. The student-to-faculty ratio is 14:1, meaning professors get to know each of their students on a personal level. Modern, purpose-built facilities enhance the learning experience, helping students prepare for life after graduation.
At RMU, students can choose from many undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and certificate programs. Programs are taught by four academic schools. There are also over 30 fully online degree programs available.
RMU’s residential campus is based across 230 suburban acres, providing a green and scenic environment to live in. 83 percent of freshmen students live there. It’s a lively place to live and study, where students make friends with others from all over the world.
There is plenty for international students to get involved with during their time at RMU. This includes over 100 clubs and activities to join, Greek sororities and fraternities, and musical opportunities.
All undergraduate students at Robert Morris University have access to extensive support facilities. This includes the Center for Student Success (CSS), which offers various services to help anyone with academic or personal issues. It uses data-driven guidance and provides an inclusive space for all to grow and thrive while at university.
