Troy University is benefiting from a number of recent investments including grants to improve training facilities in the nursing department, and to provide new digital design equipment for the upcoming academic year.
This fall, there will be a new series of classes teaching the skills required to enter the emerging world of 3D printing. 3D Printing for Art and Industry is an exciting new program which allows students to learn digital modelling and fabrication. This ensures that students at Troy are offered tuition which is up to date with the advancements in technology and industry. The university provides a range of supportive scholarship opportunities. Eligibility for these scholarships is often merit-based, with GPA requirements, but there are also options for funding based on geographic location, essay-writing abilities, excellence in music and performance, or specific study areas. Troy University has a generous network of donors and sponsors who support these schemes, allowing more people access to attend higher education.
The university offers a multitude of scholarships at the undergraduate and graduate level. Undergraduate students with a GPA of 3.7 or above are eligible for free tuition and accommodation, and there are also a number of program specific awards available, including the Sorrell Scholars Award, which is given to students of accounting, economics, or global business. This is given in the form of an endorsement ranging between USD 1,500 to USD 3,000 for the academic year, and recipients serve as student ambassadors for this time.
At a graduate level, international students holding unconditional offers may apply for an International Scholarship, provided a minimum enrollment of nine hours per semester, and that a 3.10 cumulative grade is maintained. This waives the out-of-state tuition fees, and provides the student with a stipend of USD 7,500 annually. In addition to these, there are many other scholarships and funding support schemes for online students and students with families.
International students must complete an International Application, which includes an official copy of transcripts for education years ten to 12, and diploma. Other documentation includes a financial support statement, passport identification page, and certification of English proficiency. The entry requirements for English proficiency is an overall TOEFL test score of 61, or official IELTS test score 5.5 bands overall.
For those who do not meet these requirements, the university offers an accredited English language summer school to ensure that the minimum level is achieved before term begins. Throughout the year, Troy has an intensive English program with six levels, catering to students with various degrees of aptitude, and different schedules. Applicants from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and several Caribbean nations do not need to submit proof of language proficiency.
For graduate admissions, the applicant must hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum GPA of 2.5, and must provide an official letter of recommendation.

Students may study at any of the four Troy University campuses in Alabama. The main campus is located in Troy, and the other three are located in Montgomery, Dothan and Phoenix respectively.
