I'm very happy to choose UMaine one year ago. All the people around me are excellent. When I just come here, I had trouble in speaking English. One of my friend in my office helped me to practice English and to say hello to professor. My advisor is also amazing. He is kindhearted. No matter when I have problem in my research, he will help me to solve it or give me some advices as soon as he can. moreover, UMaine is really beautiful, especially in summer. It's not too hot nor too cold. All the animal in and around the campus live together with people. When people close to them, they didn't escape away. At last, the facility are pretty good. When I need to do some exercises, I can go to the Rec Center, which can provide us to take the exercise. When we need to find somewhere to have a meeting, we can easily find some places. When I want to dance, I can find the dance studio. In all, I love UMaine show less

As my family was unable to provide the full expense of education in the US, I needed huge Financial Aid. Thanks to UMaine for its generous scholarships for International students. I obtained a scholarship that provided me with the opportunity to obtain an invaluable education in the United States. Another very important concern to me was the quality of education. Along with many other excellent programs, the science and engineering program at UMaine is outstanding, which attracted me. It is truly an unforgettable experience with a world class education. The people at UMaine are very friendly and cooperating. Not for a single day did I feel I was a foreigner from another nation and country. I found many friends and well-wishers here, and now I cannot think of my life for a moment without them. It's also a great pride to be a student at UMaine with great aspirations and dreams for future. I am very happy and proud to be a part of UMaine.
