University of Michigan is ranked top 10 in almost all departments in terms of an American and I feel like the work level lives up to the high rank. Asking my friends' workload who are in neighbouring schools allow me to understand that my school has a harder work load than most schools. However, the entire workload depends upon your specific degree. If you are in LS&A , you will not will not have as much work as an Engineering or Science Major. In terms of extra curricular activities , U of M has a club for literally everything! - including underwater basket weaving. For social life and party life, U of M is the best. Just type "University Of Michigan Im Shmacked" On youtube and see what im talking about. Oh and its better in person. You can meet any kind of person that you want in this school and they will welcome you with friendly arms. Greek Life is also big in U ofM, i personally joined a fraternity because of the numerous benefits involved and i would recommend doing so as you will have a wider connection with student life on campus If I had to know one thing before coming to U of M, I would probably like to learn more about football and sports events because sports are big here so i wish i could have understood more about it before coming. show less
