Bond University is one of Australia’s leading non-profit universities and has developed an impressive international reputation across a large range of assessment metrics.
One hundred per cent of student fees are reinvested into resources and facilities, and the university delivers an exceptional student experience, ranked number one in Australia for 16 consecutive years
Bond University is located in Queensland, on Australia’s famous Gold Coast, and students experience a large and rapidly developing coastal city with a warm year-round climate.
An average of 300 sunshine days per year and temperatures between 15-25 degrees, combined with over 50km of beautiful coastline and natural landscape within 20 minutes from campus makes for an unforgettable student experience.
The university community is comprised of slightly under 5,000 students with a large international population representing over 80 countries worldwide. Bond University offers more than 200 degree options, delivered by highly qualified and experienced teaching staff with the lowest student-teacher ratio in Australia at 10:1.
Bond University has been recognised for the quality of its curriculum and student experience, with five-star QS ratings in 2022, for teaching, internationalisation, facilities, inclusiveness, employability and academic development.
The university also achieved five-star ratings in the 2022 Good Universities Guide in a large number of areas including skills development, student support and learner engagement.
The university works hard to prepare its graduates for the next stages of their lives and has an excellent career development service. Since the Gold Coast is classified as a regional city for migratory purposes, Bond University graduates are eligible for a three-year post-study work visa. This enables them to spend an additional year in Australia and start their career with confidence.

“My experience at Bond has been amazing. Being able to finish my combined degree up to a year ahead of the rest and the high-quality teaching and learning environments drove me to come to Bond. The small classes here have allowed me to engage more with other students and have better relationships with my lecturers. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful which helped me to adjust into a whole new environment very quickly.”
Students who don’t meet the entry requirement for their chosen undergraduate program can study a foundation program or a higher education diploma as a pathway to university study.
Students who meet academic entry requirements at high school level, and have an accepted level of English language proficiency will be eligible for admission into one of Bond’s many undergraduate programs.
Entry requirements for one of Bond’s postgraduate degree programmes typically requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or demonstrable career experience in a relevant field.
Enrolment to HDR programs requires either a bachelor’s degree with class I or class II Honours, a postgraduate qualification including a significant research component, or major practical research experience at an equivalent level to a bachelor’s degree with class I or class II Honours.
English language entry requirements vary depending on the program. Students can visit the website to view specific English language entry requirements.
Bond’s student-teacher ratio of 10:1 is among Australia’s lowest and its lecturers always have their doors open for students. This ensures students get more personalised, hands-on support for their studies.
Its annual teaching calendar comprises three semesters per year in January, May and September, unlike the usual two, allowing students to complete their degrees in less time than at other universities.
Bond ensures its students involve themselves in the application of the theory they learn, as it strongly believes that students cannot learn all that they need from a textbook alone.
The university teaching faculty are highly qualified experts, with plenty of experience in the professional field. Their work includes consultancy to major international organisations and governments, as well as world-leading research and innovation.
Students benefit from opportunities to use real-life case studies and learn from a yearly programme of guest lecturers, mentors and industry leaders. Business students can participate in an overseas study tour, gaining experience from start-ups and entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley.
Law students attend mooting competitions in Beijing, Hong Kong, Canada and Queensland’s Supreme Court. The university encourages practical learning opportunities, and many courses include internships, field trips, global competitions and clinical placements.
Bond University offers a range of study options across its four teaching faculties.
Ranked amongst the top business schools worldwide, Bond Business School is home to world-class academics with real world experience in the areas of actuarial science, data analytics, business, commerce, and entrepreneurship.
